As early as the 1980s, Coratec was part of Alusuisse—a pivotal period that had a lasting impact on the company’s expertise in working with aluminum cladding.

2004 marks a milestone in the history of Coratec. Coratec is spun off from the parent corporation. The plant in Gunzgen becomes independent, and Coratec is founded.
Coratec expanded its product portfolio in the decades that followed:
