ONLY THE BEST MATERIALS

We have a technology platform that is suitable for different body types.

GFK AND ALUMINIUM COVER LAYERS

Both GRP and aluminium are used for the outer skin. Both materials have advantages and disadvantages.

GRP is more commonly used than aluminium because the surface is less sensitive to impact. We have different GRP thicknesses and types in stock, which cover different needs.

Aluminium allows the construction of a stiffer structure. Aluminium has a higher modulus of elasticity by a factor of 10, so the resulting sandwich panels are significantly more resistant to bending. We have primed or white aluminium sheets in 1mm thickness on rolls in stock.

PET FOAMS OR CORAPAN AS CORE MATERIAL

When it comes to core materials, we take a different approach than most other manufacturers. We process PET foams for applications in the railway, industrial and vehicle construction sectors and are convinced of the qualities of this product:

  • Excellent mechanical properties (compression and shear behaviour)

  • Excellent adhesion core-cover layer

  • Temperature stability up to > 100°C

  • Good insulation

  • PET is a recyclate and therefore saves resources

  • .

PET foams are manufactured so that the direction of extrusion is perpendicular to the surface. The extrusion creates a honeycomb structure. Along this honeycomb structure, the PET foam has a higher density, which gives the core the good compression and shear properties.

PET-Schaum mit Extrusionsrichtung

Our homemade Corapan is also ideal for walls and roof:

  • High shear modulus for high bending stiffness

  • Excellent core-surface adhesion

  • Temperature stability up to 90°C

  • Good insulation

  • Easy insertion of thin inserts

ANGLE

The GRP angles are manufactured using the pultrusion process. We have them in stock with different leg lengths. The profiles are provided with a tear-off fabric on one side for easy assembly.

WHO WE ARE

We are specialised in the production of sandwich panels and sandwich panel based systems. The production of sandwich panels has been our core business for almost 50 years. We manufacture our sandwich panels on hydraulic continuous presses.

Duro

First reference object, built together with the owner. Directly mounted on the frame of the Duro. The slight slope of the side walls give the body that certain something.

Empty cabin

Empty cabin with installation of the windows/flaps/doors, as well as installation of the bed support/trunk and the partitions for the wet cell. To increase the bending stiffness, the underside of the floor is made with 1.4mm aluminium sheet (inside with GRP, core with 12mm plywood and 57mm PET foam).

Uniqcab

Cabin and interior manufactured by Uniqcab. Coratec supplies the raw sandwich panels.

Expedition vehicle

Cabin and interior manufactured by Off Road Böhlen. We supply the sandwich panels made of Corapan® AL 85.
