CORAPAN® AL 85
CORAPAN® AL 85 is our sandwich composite panel that sets standards in vehicle construction in terms of surface quality and dimensional stability.
CORAPAN® AL 85 is a sandwich composite panel of the CORAPAN® product family with our own manufactured core, the CORACEL®. CORAPAN AL 85 uses aluminium for the face sheets. The core is lightweight, making the product ideal for use in vehicle construction.
CORAPAN® AL 85 offers the following advantages compared to alternative solutions:
One panel - one core
Unlike the other panels available on the market, Corapan® AL 85 consists of one core piece up to a size of 6000x2200mm. This is unique and allows for excellent surfaces and best possible stability.Unmatched surface quality
The surface quality of the CORAPAN product family is unmatched in terms of flatness and freedom from defects. This quality is a result of our discontinuous manufacturing process, in which the core with the face sheets is compacted in the press and cured under temperature.Excellent dimensional stability
Due to its excellent and durable dimensional stability, CORAPAN® AL 85 is often used as a flap.Large and variable formats:
Sizes up to 10'000x 2'610mm and any thickness between 15 and 60mm are available.Customised inserts
Due to our manufacturing process, inserts can be easily inserted. Inserts serve as reinforcements, fixing points, etc. With inserts, a functional, customised product is created from a board.
We manufacture formats, cuts, edge trims and inserts according to your specifications. Find out more about our range of products on the pages on inserts, edge trims and cover sheets.

DIMENSIONING
The following graph shows the allowable load at a given span for different slab thicknesses. The allowable load is defined as the load at which a deflection of span/300 results. The following boundary conditions also apply:
Panel arrangement on 2 supports (single span beams) at room temperature
Front and rear face sheets with 1mm thick aluminium each
